Description: The amount of time that should pass before aging out an entry in the rlMldSnoopGroupTable will be aged out.
What is rlMldSnoopHostAgingTime?
This field sets, in seconds with a minimum of 60, how long a learned IPv6 multicast group-membership entry in the MLD snooping group table is kept before aging out without a refresh. An administrator tunes this the same way as its IGMP counterpart, but specifically for IPv6 listener state. For example, increasing rlMldSnoopHostAgingTime on a VLAN with sparse MLD report intervals avoids prematurely dropping IPv6 multicast listeners between their periodic reports.
