This read-write TruthValue globally enables or disables MLD snooping, the IPv6 counterpart of IGMP snooping that watches Multicast Listener Discovery messages to learn which ports have IPv6 multicast listeners. An administrator enables this so IPv6 multicast traffic, like an IPv6 streaming service, is only forwarded to ports that actually requested it. For example, enabling rlMldSnoopEnable on a dual-stack network prevents IPv6 multicast video streams from flooding every port the way they would without snooping.
