What is rlIgmpSnoopVlanQuerierTimeOut?
This field sets, in seconds, how long the switch waits without hearing an IGMP query on this VLAN before it activates its own IGMP querier function. An administrator configures this so the switch can take over generating periodic queries if the normal multicast router's querier goes silent, keeping membership tracking alive. For example, a shorter rlIgmpSnoopVlanQuerierTimeOut makes the switch step in as backup querier more quickly after the primary router-based querier stops sending queries.
