Description: The amount of time that should pass before aging out an entry in the rlIgmpSnoopMembershipTable for this vlan, after recieving a leave/exclude message from the port of the entry.
What is rlIgmpSnoopVlanLeaveTimeOut?
This field sets, in seconds, how long the switch waits after receiving an IGMP leave or exclude message on a port before removing that port's multicast membership entry for this VLAN. An administrator lowers this to make channel changes or stream stops take effect on the wire more quickly after a client leaves a group. For example, reducing rlIgmpSnoopVlanLeaveTimeOut on an IPTV VLAN lets the switch stop forwarding a multicast stream to a port almost immediately after the set-top box sends a leave message.
