Description: The Robustness Variable allows tuning for the expected packet loss on a subnet. If a subnet is expected to be lossy, the Robustness Variable may be increased. IGMP and MLD are robust to (Robustness Variable-1) packet losses.

What is rlIgmpMldSnoopVlanOperRobustness?

This read-only value reports the operational Robustness Variable currently in effect for IGMP/MLD snooping on this VLAN, which determines how many consecutive packet losses the protocol can tolerate before assuming a listener is gone. An administrator checks this to understand how resilient membership tracking is to a lossy subnet. For example, a higher rlIgmpMldSnoopVlanOperRobustness value means the switch waits for more repeated query attempts before deciding a host has really left, which helps on a subnet with known packet loss.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.55.5.5.1.14
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-rlBrgMulticast-MIB::rlIgmpMldSnoopVlanOperRobustness

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.55.5.5.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCOSB-rlBrgMulticast-MIB::rlIgmpMldSnoopVlanOperRobustness.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rlIgmpMldSnoopVlanOperRobustness.1
