rlEventsStatus

Module: CISCOSB-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-SNMP-MIB::rlEventsStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.98.7.5.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: RowStatus

Access: read-create

Description: RowStatus for this table. Note that the device may refuse for resource shortage reasons to honour a create request for this poller even if apparently there still is room in his rlEventsMaskMask (i.e. the poller has requested monitoring of less than 40 events).

What is rlEventsStatus?

This read-create RowStatus controls creating or deleting an individual event-registration row for a poller, and per the description, the device may refuse a create request for resource reasons even if the poller is still under its 40-event limit. Admins care because it's how a monitoring script actually registers or removes interest in a specific device event, subject to the device's own internal capacity. For example, a script attempting to register an additional event under a resource-constrained device gets the create request refused, learning it must remove an existing registration first.
