Module: CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB::rlQosRedQweight

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.88.14.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: Q factor for WRED.

What is rlQosRedQweight?

This read-create integer holds the queue weight ("Q factor") used by the switch's WRED (Weighted Random Early Detection) algorithm on a given queue. Administrators tune this weight to control how aggressively WRED begins probabilistically dropping packets as the queue fills, which shapes how TCP flows back off before a queue actually overflows. For example, a network engineer might raise the Q factor on a congested video queue so WRED starts trimming traffic earlier and avoids a hard tail-drop burst during a traffic spike.
