Module: CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB::rlQosRedMinDp0

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.88.14.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: WRED Min Threshold for Drop Precedence 2.

What is rlQosRedMinDp0?

This read-create INTEGER, as a percentage from 0 to 100, sets the WRED minimum threshold for Drop Precedence 0 traffic, the queue-fill level at which the device begins probabilistically dropping DP0 packets rather than waiting for a hard tail-drop; the source MIB's description text is copy-pasted and mislabels this as Drop Precedence 2, but the object's own name and table position identify it as the DP0 minimum threshold. An admin sets this as the low end of the WRED curve for the most protected traffic class, typically making it the highest minimum threshold of the three DP classes so DP0 traffic is the last to experience any random early drops under congestion. For example, setting this minimum threshold to 70 percent means the device will not begin randomly dropping any DP0 packets until the queue is at least 70 percent full, well after DP1 or DP2 WRED dropping may have already started.
