Module: CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-QOS-CLI-MIB::rlQosDscpMutationEnable

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This field indicates if dscp to dscp mutation mode is enable. It can be set to true in the following terms: 1.rlQosGlobalTrustMode is in {dscp, vpt-dscp} ( rlQosGlobalQoSMode must be basic or advanced) 2.if rlQosGlobalQoSMode is advanced then rlQoSPortTrustAdvancedMode must be set to true.

What is rlQosDscpMutationEnable?

This read-write TruthValue indicates whether DSCP-to-DSCP mutation mode is enabled, and per its description can only be set true when the global trust mode is dscp or vpt-dscp and, in advanced mode, when the port-trust-advanced-mode field is also true. DSCP mutation lets the switch remap one DSCP value to another as traffic passes through, so this flag matters for interoperating with domains that use different DSCP conventions. For example, an admin connecting to a partner network that uses a different DSCP scheme would enable this mutation mode, after first confirming the trust-mode prerequisites listed in the object's own description are met.
