An admin would populate this slot only when building an especially granular rule that needs to layer a sixth distinct matching field on top of the conditions already set in the earlier tuple slots. For example, in an ACE that already matches address, port, protocol, DSCP, and a custom byte pattern, this sixth slot could add a VLAN-related Tuple as one more condition the traffic must satisfy.
