This read-create INTEGER is the fifth of up to eight tuple-pointer slots available in an ACE for combining match conditions. An admin reaches this far into the tuple list only for unusually specific classification needs, where four prior conditions still are not narrow enough to isolate the exact traffic they want to act on. For example, in a complex security ACE that must match source subnet, destination port, protocol, DSCP, and a custom offset-based byte pattern all at once, this fifth slot would hold the pointer to that custom offset-based Tuple.
