Module: CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCOSB-POLICY-MIB::rlPolicyActionChangeVidAction

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: RlPolicyMarkVlanAction
Access: read-write
Description: If 'mark', than the classified traffic will be remarked with new VLAN id. If 'disabled' VLAN id is not changed. If markNestedVlan, if the egress interface defined as VLAN tagged member then a new VLAN tag is added to the packet.
What is rlPolicyActionChangeVidAction?
This enumerated RlPolicyMarkVlanAction controls whether matched packets get their VLAN ID remarked (mark), left unchanged (disabled), or given an extra nested VLAN tag on tagged egress interfaces (markNestedVlan). It gives an admin fine control over VLAN manipulation, such as steering classified traffic into a different VLAN or a Q-in-Q tunnel. For example, setting this to markNestedVlan on a rule matching guest traffic adds an outer VLAN tag as it exits a trunk port without disturbing the packet's original inner VLAN tag.
