zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour

Module: CISCO-ZS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ZS-MIB::zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the behaviour of the default zone on this VSAN.

If this object is set to 'permit', then the members of the default zone on this VSAN can communicate with each other.

If this object is set to 'deny', then the members of the default zone on this VSAN cannot communicate with each other. 1 -- allow communication 2 -- deny communication

What is zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour?

This read-write INTEGER selects whether the default zone on a VSAN behaves as permit(1) or deny(2); the source description for this particular object is empty, so its exact semantics should be read from the related enhanced-mode object czseGlobalDefaultZoneBehaviour and the zone table's default-zone documentation. Operationally, it governs whether devices not explicitly placed in any zone can still communicate on the VSAN. For example, an admin tightening fabric security would set this object to deny(2) so devices left out of all explicit zones cannot communicate by default.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ZS-MIB::zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ZS-MIB::zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.1.1.1.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> zoneDefaultZoneBehaviour.1
