Module: CISCO-ZS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ZS-MIB::zoneCopyStartCopy

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.31.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: This object provides the capability to start the copy operation of the active zoneset on this VSAN to the desired destination.

When set to 'copy(1)', the copy of the active zoneset on this VSAN is started.

No action is taken if this object is set to 'noop(2)'.

The value of this object when read is always 'noop'.

What is zoneCopyStartCopy?

This read-create INTEGER triggers the actual zone set copy operation: setting it to copy(1) starts the transfer to the configured destination, setting it to noop(2) does nothing, and reading the object always returns noop regardless of what was last set. Admins use this as the 'go' button after configuring the destination address, filename, and protocol for a zone set backup. For example, once zoneCopyServerAddr and zoneCopyDestFileName are set, the admin sets this object to copy(1) to actually kick off the file transfer.
