zoneCopyDestFileType

Module: CISCO-ZS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ZS-MIB::zoneCopyDestFileType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.294.1.1.31.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: ZoneFileType

Access: read-create

Description: The type of file to which the active zoneset needs to be copied.

If the value of this object is set to 'networkFile(1)', then values must be set for the corresponding instances of zoneCopyServerAddr and zoneCopyDestFileName objects.

If the value of this object is set to 'localFile(2)', then the corresponding instance of zoneCopyDestFileName must be set.

What is zoneCopyDestFileType?

This read-create ZoneFileType chooses whether the active zone set is copied to a networkFile(1), which requires zoneCopyServerAddr and zoneCopyDestFileName to also be set, or a localFile(2), which only requires zoneCopyDestFileName. It determines whether the admin's zone set backup lands on a remote server or on the switch's own local storage. For example, an admin doing a quick local snapshot before a risky zoning change sets this object to localFile(2) rather than configuring a remote server.
