cwrSelfTest

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB::cwrSelfTest

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies the whether self test should be executed and if so whether to do it every time the radio link is started. Any changes made to this object will reflected the next time the radio link is started.

off(1) - Self test never performed. once(2) - Self test will be performed the next time the radio link is started. always(3) - Every time the radio link is started.

What is cwrSelfTest?

This read-write INTEGER (off, once, or always) controls whether the radio's self test runs, and if so whether it runs every time the radio link starts or just the next time. It gives an admin control over diagnostic overhead versus assurance, since a change here only takes effect the next time the link starts. For example, when troubleshooting an intermittently faulty radio, a technician could set cwrSelfTest to always(3) so every link restart re-validates the hardware.
