cwrCableLossDiversity

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB::cwrCableLossDiversity

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.3.2.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object represents the measured loss in signal power in dB that is imposed by the cable connecting the radio to the antenna head. This value enables the hardware to compensate for the cable loss by adjusting the gain appropriately. A value of 0 represents no degradation in signal due to the cable. This cable loss applies to the receive antenna identified by cwrRxRf2Index.

What is cwrCableLossDiversity?

This read-write INTEGER, in dB, from 0 to 50, records the measured signal loss imposed by the cable connecting the radio to the receive/diversity antenna identified by cwrRxRf2Index, letting the hardware compensate by adjusting gain; 0 means no cable degradation. It's the diversity-antenna counterpart to cwrCableLoss, which covers the transmit path instead. For example, on a link using a second receive antenna with a longer feed run than the primary, the installer would set cwrCableLossDiversity to that antenna's measured cable loss so receive-side gain is compensated correctly.
