cwrArqOn

Module: CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB::cwrArqOn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.4.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object when set to true will enable the Automatic Repeat Query subsystem. Disabling the ARQ subsystem disables a major error correction mechanism of the radio, due to which an operating radio PHY may suffer large performance degradation.

What is cwrArqOn?

This read-write TruthValue enables the Automatic Repeat Query error-correction subsystem when set to true; disabling it removes a major error-correction mechanism and can cause significant performance degradation on an operating radio link. An admin would normally leave this enabled except for specific diagnostic scenarios where isolating raw, uncorrected PHY performance matters. For example, a technician diagnosing whether a link's poor throughput is a raw RF problem versus an ARQ configuration problem might briefly set cwrArqOn to false to observe uncorrected performance, understanding this will likely make things noticeably worse.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.4.1.1.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB::cwrArqOn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.4.1.1.9.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WIRELESS-IF-MIB::cwrArqOn.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.136.1.4.1.1.9.1 s <value>
