Description: For normal operation this should be set to false(2). If it set true(1), then the radio link is placed in antenna alignment mode. In this mode control signals are sent to the RF resource which enables the operator to monitor the signal received strength at the RF resource. This is mainly used for antenna steering i.e. positioning the antenna for the best possible signal reception. If set to true(1), the radio link's response to rapid changes in signal strength may potentially be affected.
What is cwrAntAlignment?
This read-write TruthValue, when set to true, places the radio link into antenna alignment mode, sending control signals to the RF resource so an operator can monitor received signal strength while physically steering the antenna; normal operation requires it be set to false. It gives a field technician a live feedback loop for aiming a dish or panel antenna at installation time. For example, during initial installation of a point-to-point link, a technician sets cwrAntAlignment to true and watches the reported signal strength while adjusting the antenna's aim for a peak reading.
