cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag

Module: CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.2.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This variable indicates if the PTSE of this node is currently contained in the PNNI PTSE database. The nodal information in the persistent topology database is derived from the PTSEs in the PNNI PTSE database. The entries in the PNNI PTSE database times out if no new PTSE is received from a node after a certain time. If that happens, this object is set to 'false'. This object would allow the NMS to determine whether this node currently has connectivity with the rest of the network.

What is cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag?

This read-write TruthValue indicates whether this node's PTSE is currently present in the PNNI PTSE database, since entries there time out and are removed if no new PTSE arrives from the node within a certain interval, at which point this flag is set to false. An admin uses this flag to tell whether the topology database's data for a given node is still fresh or stale because the node has stopped sending updates. For example, an admin seeing cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag set to false for a node that should be actively participating in PNNI would suspect that node has gone unreachable or dropped out of the network.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.2.1.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtNodeInfoTimeOutFlag.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.2.1.1.14.1 s <value>
