cwtGatewayAdminStatus

Module: CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtGatewayAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of this object determines whether this node is a Gateway Node or not. A value of `enable' configures this node to be the Gateway Node, and enables the generation of the topology database. A value of `disable' configures this node to not be a Gateway Node, and deletes the topology database if it exists.

What is cwtGatewayAdminStatus?

This read-write enumeration (enable or disable) configures whether this switch node acts as the Gateway Node for the PNNI WAN topology database; enabling it triggers the switch to build the topology database, while disabling it deletes any existing database. An admin sets this on exactly one node in the ATM network to designate which switch is responsible for maintaining the network-wide topology view used by the NMS. For example, an admin migrating gateway responsibility to a new switch sets cwtGatewayAdminStatus to disable on the old node and enable on the new one, causing the old node's topology database to be deleted.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtGatewayAdminStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-TOPOLOGY-MIB::cwtGatewayAdminStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.234.1.1.1.1 i <value>
