cwrChanInArpInterval

Module: CISCO-WAN-RPM-CONN-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-RPM-CONN-EXT-MIB::cwrChanInArpInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.150.9.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-create

Description: This specifies how often Inverse ARP datagrams will be sent on this channel. 0 will disable the InArp for this channel. This object is only supported for aal5snap encapsulation (i.e. cwrChanAalEncapType = aal5snap).

What is cwrChanInArpInterval?

This object specifies how often, in minutes, Inverse ARP datagrams are sent on the channel, and it applies only when the channel uses aal5snap encapsulation. An administrator can use it to control how frequently the channel re-resolves the protocol address of the far end, or set it to 0 to disable Inverse ARP entirely on that channel. For example, setting this to 5 would cause the channel to send Inverse ARP requests every five minutes to keep its address mapping current.
