This counter tallies the total number of connections processed by a policy map since it became active. An administrator can use it to see how much traffic volume, in terms of connection count, a particular optimization policy has handled. For example, a policy map with a very low connection count compared to others might indicate its match criteria rarely apply to real traffic and could need adjustment.
