cwoGeneralCpuThrottleLow

Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoGeneralCpuThrottleLow

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object contains low threshold (percentage) value of CPU usage of system when WAN optimization feature is running. The current CPU utilization, stored in cpmCPUTotalMonIntervalValue, is compared against this value. A cwoCpuThrottlingOff notification is generated if a prior cwoCpuThrottlingOn notification was generated, and the current value of cpmCPUTotalMonIntervalValue is below cwoGeneralCpuThrottleLow for cwoGeneralCpuThrottlPeriod.

Note that the value of cwoGeneralCpuThrottleLow must be less than or equal to cwoGeneralCpuThrottleHigh.

What is cwoGeneralCpuThrottleLow?

This read-write Unsigned32, as a percentage from 1 to 100, sets the low CPU threshold compared against cpmCPUTotalMonIntervalValue, and per the description a cwoCpuThrottlingOff notification fires if a prior cwoCpuThrottlingOn notification was sent and CPU utilization drops below this threshold for cwoGeneralCpuThrottlPeriod. An admin sets this below cwoGeneralCpuThrottleHigh to create hysteresis, preventing rapid on/off toggling of throttling notifications as CPU usage fluctuates near the boundary. Setting this too close to the high threshold could cause the throttling notifications to flap frequently under moderately variable CPU load.
