cwoDreCacheStatsSigblockAge

Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoDreCacheStatsSigblockAge

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.7.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: SnmpAdminString

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates the age of oldest signature in the sigblock. DRE stores the actual data as data units in the data block and the metadata (chuck signature) in signature block. If a new signature should be written to the sigblock when it is full, then the oldest signature currently present in the sigblock will be evicted. So this object would indicate the age of the oldest signature present in the DRE cache. It takes the format of dhm, where 'x' is an integer number. For example, 6d20h30m means that the oldest data's age is 6 days, 20 hours and 30 minutes.

What is cwoDreCacheStatsSigblockAge?

This read-only SnmpAdminString indicates the age of the oldest signature in the sigblock, formatted as <x>d... per the description, reflecting how long signature metadata survives before being evicted when the sigblock fills up. An admin compares this against cwoDreCacheStatsDataUnitAge to see whether the data block or the signature block is the tighter constraint on cache retention. If sigblock age is consistently much shorter than data unit age, an admin would suspect the signature block is undersized relative to the data block for the current traffic mix.
