Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoAoSmbxStatsWrL4SignWANBytes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.3.2.27

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the total number of Layer 4 (L4) optimized signed bytes written to WAN by SMB Application Optimizer since SMB Application Optimizer was started. L4 optimization comprises of TFO, DRE and LZ optimizations.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the SMB AO. The last discontinuity time is indicated by the value of cwoAoStatsLastResetTime for the SMB AO.

What is cwoAoSmbxStatsWrL4SignWANBytes?

This read-only Counter64 contains the total Layer 4 (TFO, DRE, and LZ) optimized signed bytes written to the WAN by the SMB AO since it was started, with discontinuities possible at re-initialization, indicated by cwoAoStatsLastResetTime. An admin uses this to measure how much SMB write traffic passed through the full L4 optimization stack toward the WAN side. A low value relative to raw write volume from clients would suggest limited L4-level compression benefit for this particular write workload.
