Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoAoSmbxStatsRdL4SignWANBytes

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.3.2.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the total number of Layer 4 (L4) optimized signed bytes read from WAN by SMB Application Optimizer since the SMB Application Optimizer was started. L4 optimization comprises of TFO, DRE and LZ optimizations.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the SMB AO. The last discontinuity time is indicated by the value of cwoAoStatsLastResetTime for the SMB AO.

What is cwoAoSmbxStatsRdL4SignWANBytes?

This read-only Counter64 contains the total Layer 4 (TFO, DRE, and LZ) optimized signed bytes read from the WAN by the SMB AO since it was started, with discontinuities possible at re-initialization, indicated by cwoAoStatsLastResetTime. An admin uses this to see how much SMB read traffic benefited from the full Layer 4 optimization stack rather than just SMB-specific caching. Comparing this to non-optimized WAN read volumes elsewhere would let an admin quantify the combined effect of L4 and SMB-level optimization together.
