An administrator can compare this to the unencrypted local-request counter to see whether encrypted MAPI sessions benefit from local acceleration to the same degree as plaintext sessions. For example, if encrypted local requests remain near zero while unencrypted local requests grow steadily, that would indicate the MAPI AO is not effectively optimizing encrypted traffic.
