This counter measures the cumulative number of response bytes saved on cache-hit HTTP transactions while the transparent cache profile operated in standard mode. It gives an administrator a byte-level view of how much WAN bandwidth standard-mode caching is offsetting, which is useful for justifying or sizing the cache profile. For example, if this counter grows by several gigabytes over a week, that traffic never had to be re-pulled across the WAN link, directly reducing link utilization.
