Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoAoHttpxStatsAKCBasicCacheTrans

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.3.3.10.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter64

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates the Akamai connected cache statistics for total number of cache-hit transactions that were served from cache in basic mode transparent cache profile. In this mode, the cache engine works in strict RFC-2616 behavior, and therefore, only caches responses that are marked explicitly as cacheable with cache-control headers or responses that have an expiry header to service and accelerate traffic from a datacenter to a branch office over any type of IP network.

What is cwoAoHttpxStatsAKCBasicCacheTrans?

This counter tallies the total number of HTTP transactions served from the Akamai Connected Cache while running in basic mode, which follows strict RFC-2616 behavior and only caches responses explicitly marked cacheable via cache-control headers or an expiry header. Because basic mode is more conservative than standard mode, an administrator can use this counter to see how many requests still qualify for caching under those stricter rules when accelerating traffic from a data center to a branch. For example, if this counter rises much more slowly than the standard-mode transaction counter, it confirms that basic mode's strict cacheability rules are excluding many objects that standard mode would have cached.
