Module: CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-OPTIMIZATION-MIB::cwoAoCifsxStatsFFRemoteRespTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.762.1.3.7.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoMilliSeconds

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the average remote response time for FindFirst (FF) requests replied remotely since CIFS AO was started.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the CIFS AO. The last discontinuity time is indicated by the value of cwoAoStatsLastResetTime for the CIFS AO.

What is cwoAoCifsxStatsFFRemoteRespTime?

This object reports the average remote response time, in milliseconds, for FindFirst requests answered remotely by the CIFS AO since it was started, with discontinuities marked by cwoAoStatsLastResetTime. An administrator can compare it to the local FindFirst response time to quantify how much slower directory listings are when they must be fetched from the remote file server. For example, a large gap between remote and local FindFirst response times would make a strong case for expanding metadata caching to reduce reliance on remote directory lookups.
