Description: The status of this entry in the pxmAtmVcCrossConnectTable. This object is used to create a new cross-connect for cross-connecting VCLs which are created using the pxmAtmVclTable or to change or delete existing cross-connect. This object must be initially set to `createAndWait' or `createAndGo'. This object cannot be set to `active' unless the following columnar object exists in this row: pxmAtmVcCrossConnectAdminStatus. To turn on a VC cross-connect, the pxmAtmVcCrossConnectAdminStatus is set to `up'.

What is pxmAtmVcCrossConnectRowStatus?

This object controls the lifecycle of a cross-connect table row, letting a manager create a new PVC cross-connect via createAndWait or createAndGo, or modify or delete an existing one, following the standard SNMP RowStatus convention. It's the actual provisioning mechanism for wiring two VCs together through the switch fabric, and the row can't become active until required fields like the low and high interface, VPI, and VCI are set. An operator provisioning a new PVC sets this to createAndWait, fills in the endpoint fields, then sets it active to bring the cross-connect into service.
