This read-only counter tracks how many Segment Loopback OAM cells the card has sent out toward the attached device on this port, used for testing connectivity or continuity across a single ATM segment. An administrator sees this counter increment when segment-loopback OAM testing is actively running on the port, whether triggered manually or as part of automated diagnostics. Because it counts transmitted test cells rather than data traffic, a nonzero value indicates loopback testing activity rather than a fault condition by itself.
