ingrUpcCIR

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ingrUpcCIR

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.2.1.1.1.19

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Complaint Information Rate. The actual value depends on the speed of the logical port (which can be a T1, E1 (normal), E1 (clear), IMA T1, IMA E1 (normal) or IMA E1 (clear) port. Note that the IMA port's speed is variable and depends on the number of links in the port. In AUSM (4-port), maximum value is 4830.

What is ingrUpcCIR?

This read-write integer sets the Compliant Information Rate used by UPC policing, representing a committed/guaranteed rate the connection is entitled to, again bounded by the actual speed of the logical port. Admins configure this as the rate floor a connection should reliably get, distinct from the PCR ceiling, useful for frame-relay-style or rate-guaranteed ATM services. For example, a connection with ingrUpcCIR set well below its ingrUpcPCR01 would have a modest guaranteed rate but could still burst up to the higher peak rate when the network isn't congested.
