What is imatmPortRcvInvCells?
This read-only counter counts ATM cells received on the DS3 port that were found to be invalid, for example due to header errors or other integrity problems. Admins watch this counter because a rising count of invalid cells signals a physical-layer or line-quality problem upstream, distinct from normal traffic volume. For example, if imatmPortRcvInvCells increases sharply while imatmDsx3PortRcvCells stays flat, it points to line degradation rather than a traffic-volume change.
