Description: Threshold of the egress queue for EFCI. In AUSM (4 port), range from only 1..8000 is permissible.This value should be less than or equal to egrQDepthMax.
What is egrQEfciThresh?
This read-write value sets the queue-fill level at which the card starts marking outgoing cells with the Explicit Forward Congestion Indication (EFCI) bit, and it must be at or below egrQDepthMax. An administrator tunes this threshold so that ABR-capable end systems receive early congestion signaling before the queue actually overflows and drops cells. For example, setting egrQEfciThresh to 75 percent of egrQDepthMax lets EFCI marking begin well before cell loss becomes necessary.
