This read-write value selects which of five available egress queue scheduling/discard algorithms is applied to the queue, with the special value 'ff'h disabling algorithmic queue management entirely. An administrator selects a specific algorithm number to match the traffic profile of the connections mapped to that queue, such as choosing one algorithm for bursty data and another for CBR-like traffic. Setting egrQAlgorithm to 'ff'h effectively turns off any active management scheme on that queue.
