This read-write integer (1-16) assigns a channel to one of sixteen egress queues on the card, each of which the description notes may run a different scheduling/service algorithm. Admins use this to control how a channel's outbound cells are scheduled relative to other traffic, for instance directing latency-sensitive channels to a priority queue distinct from bulk-data channels. For example, an admin might set chanEgrQSelect to a low-numbered queue reserved for CBR voice traffic to ensure it gets preferential servicing over queues used for best-effort data.
