bbIfRscPrtInUse

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::bbIfRscPrtInUse

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.6.2.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this object to 1 indicates that the resources (LCN/Local VPID/VCI/VPI) have been partitioned and INS, network ctrlrs.,SV+ are currently using this information. The resource partition information can be changed after setting this variable to 2. The default value is 2 (NotInUse).

What is bbIfRscPrtInUse?

This read-write flag locks in a resource partition once set to inUse(1), signaling that INS, network controllers, and SV+ are actively relying on the partition's VPI, VCI, and channel allocations; the partition's parameters can only be edited after setting it back to notInUse(2), which is the default. It functions as a safety gate preventing changes to a resource partition while it's actively backing live connections. An admin who needs to widen a partition's VCI range would first set bbIfRscPrtInUse to notInUse(2), make the change, then set it back to inUse(1) to put it back into service.
