ausmStdABRRDF

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ausmStdABRRDF

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.2.1.4.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Rate Decrease Factor. This unitless value has to be inversed to arrive at the actual value. The valid values possible are only powers of 2; i.e. 1, 2, 4, 8 ..... 32768 . The SNMP agent has to verify this compliance.

What is ausmStdABRRDF?

This read-write integer sets the Rate Decrease Factor (RDF) for a standard ABR connection, a unitless value that must be a power of 2 and needs to be inverted to derive its actual effect, controlling how aggressively the ABR source reduces its rate in response to negative congestion feedback. Admins configure this per the TM4.0 ABR specification's constraints, and the SNMP agent itself is expected to enforce that only power-of-2 values are accepted. For example, setting ausmStdABRRDF to a larger power-of-2 value would make the connection's rate decrease more gradually (smaller effective decrease per feedback event) than a smaller value would.
