ausmRestrictTrunkType

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ausmRestrictTrunkType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.2.1.1.1.59

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Restricted trunk type for routing, used by PXM. It specifies that the connection either cannot be routed over satelite trunks, or terrestrial trunks, or it can be on any type of trunk.

What is ausmRestrictTrunkType?

This read-write enumerated value restricts what type of physical trunk the PXM routing controller may use for this connection - forcing it away from satellite trunks, away from terrestrial trunks, or leaving it unrestricted to use either. Admins use this for connections sensitive to the propagation delay characteristics of satellite links (like real-time voice), steering them exclusively onto terrestrial paths. For example, an admin provisioning a delay-sensitive voice connection would set ausmRestrictTrunkType to terrestrialTrunk to prevent PXM from ever routing it over a high-latency satellite trunk.
