ausmRemoteVpi

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ausmRemoteVpi

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.2.1.1.1.51

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This VPI has different with the remote end point VPI (CPE), this is similar to a connection ID and it can be same with the remote end point VPI but not necessary

What is ausmRemoteVpi?

This read-write integer configures the VPI value expected from the remote end point (the CPE at the far side of the connection), functioning similarly to a connection identifier and not necessarily matching any locally used VPI value. Admins set this when provisioning a connection to specify what VPI the remote CPE will be using, which the switch needs to know to correctly route or validate the connection. For example, an admin setting up a connection to a remote CPE that's configured for VPI 5 would set ausmRemoteVpi to 5 so the switch expects and correctly interprets traffic tagged with that value from the far end.
