ausmInterfaceMyNeighborIpAddress
Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ausmInterfaceMyNeighborIpAddress
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.1.5.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IpAddress
Access: read-only
Description: The IP address of the neighbor system connected to the far end of this interface, to which a Network Management Station can send SNMP messages, as IP datagrams sent to UDP port 161, in order to access network management information concerning the operation of that system. Note that the value of this object may be obtained in different ways, e.g., by manual configuration, or through ILMI interaction with the neighbor system.
What is ausmInterfaceMyNeighborIpAddress?
This read-only value reports the IP address of the neighboring device attached to the far end of this ATM interface, an address a network management station could use to send it SNMP messages on UDP port 161. An administrator reads this to discover the far-end management address either configured manually or learned dynamically through ILMI interaction with that neighbor, without needing separate documentation of the physical topology. For example, seeing a populated ausmInterfaceMyNeighborIpAddress confirms ILMI successfully learned the neighbor's management address, while a value of 0.0.0.0 would suggest neither manual configuration nor ILMI discovery has completed.
