ausmConnRemoteMBS

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::ausmConnRemoteMBS

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.2.2.1.1.1.72

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Maximum burst size at the remote end of the connection, Used for VBR connections setup with PNNI controller.

What is ausmConnRemoteMBS?

This read-write integer sets the Maximum Burst Size expected at the remote end of a PNNI-routed VBR connection, notably allowing a far larger range (up to 5,000,000 cells) than the local-side ausmConnMBS's 5,000-cell cap. Admins configure this when the remote end's burst tolerance needs to be specified separately and potentially much larger than the local end's, reflecting the PNNI signaling model's ability to carry asymmetric burst parameters between ends. For example, a connection where the remote end is a large aggregation point with much greater buffering capacity might have a proportionally larger ausmConnRemoteMBS configured than the local ausmConnMBS.
