Description: This MIB variable allows one to add a new connection on a port even if it is over subscribed.
What is ausmChanOvrSubOvrRide?
This read-write flag lets an admin override normal connection admission control and force-add a new connection onto a port even though doing so would push the port into an oversubscribed state. Admins use this deliberately when they've judged that statistical multiplexing gains justify accepting more committed bandwidth than the port can guarantee simultaneously to all connections, accepting the tradeoff of potential congestion during peak usage. For example, an admin adding a low-priority best-effort connection to an already fully committed port might enable ausmChanOvrSubOvrRide to bypass the normal admission-control rejection.
