This read-write object enables or disables ATM LMI signaling on this link, with options ranging from disable, through plain atmLmiEnable, to atmLmiwithExtEnable (LMI with Node Status Extensions) and two enhanced-recovery variants that differ in whether recovery from an LMI failure is manual or automatic. An admin wanting the interface to automatically recover from a transient LMI failure without operator intervention would choose atmLmiEnhAutoRecovery rather than the manual-recovery option. Choosing plain disable would turn off LMI status exchange on the link entirely, useful when connecting to equipment that doesn't support ATM LMI.
