c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold

Module: CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB::c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.661.1.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: C3gRssi

Access: read-write

Description: The RSSI abate threshold value. If RSSI goes above the
threshold and the service bit in c3gRssiAbateNotifFlag is
set, the c3gRssiAbateNotif notification for that service will
be sent. The absolute value of c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold
should be less than or equal to the absolute value of
c3gRssiOnsetNotifThreshold (|c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold| <=
|c3gRssiOnsetNotifThreshold|).  e.g. setting
c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold to -115 dBm and then setting
c3gRssiOnsetNotifThreshold to -110 dBm is not allowed
and will be rejected.

What is c3gRssiAbateNotifThreshold?

This read-write threshold, in dBm, defines the RSSI level above which the c3gRssiAbateNotif notification fires for a service, signaling that a previously weak signal has recovered, provided that service's bit is enabled in c3gRssiAbateNotifFlag. An admin sets this in tandem with the onset threshold to get a clear "all clear" notification once cellular signal strength recovers, closing the loop on an earlier weak-signal alert. For example, pairing an abate threshold of -95 dBm with an onset threshold of -100 dBm means the router alerts when signal drops below -100 dBm and alerts again once it climbs back above -95 dBm.
