c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifThreshold

Module: CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB::c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.661.1.1.1.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: C3gTemperature

Access: read-write

Description: The modem temperature onset threshold value. If modem temperature goes above the threshold and the value of c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifEnabled is 'true', the c3gModemTemperOnsetNotif notification will be sent. The value of c3gModemTemperAbateNotifThreshold should be less than or equal to the value of c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifThreshold. e.g. setting c3gModemTemperAbateNotifThreshold to 50 degree Celsius and then setting c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifThreshold to 40 degree Celsius is not allowed and will be rejected.

What is c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifThreshold?

This read-write threshold defines the modem temperature, in degrees Celsius, above which the c3gModemTemperOnsetNotif notification is sent, provided c3gModemTemperOnsetNotifEnabled is set to true. An admin sets this to get proactive alerts about modem overheating before it becomes a reliability or hardware-damage concern, and the value must be greater than or equal to the abate threshold to avoid oscillating alerts. For example, setting this to 70 degrees Celsius means the admin gets notified the moment an outdoor-cabinet modem's internal temperature crosses that line, prompting a check of ventilation.
