What is c3gCurrentNid?
This value reports (and can override) the current Network Identification (NID), a 16-bit number used alongside the SID by cellular systems to further identify the network, with -1 meaning "Not Applicable." An admin uses this in conjunction with c3gCurrentSid to precisely identify the specific network/system pair the modem is currently registered on. For example, two sites reporting the same SID but different NID values are actually registered on different sub-networks of the same overall cellular system, which an admin might need to know when comparing coverage.
