Module: CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-3G-MIB::c3gCdmaHybridModePreference

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.661.1.2.4.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Description: This object indicates the hybrid mode preference: unknown(1) - preference unknown hybrid(2) - connect to EV-DO/1xRTT services evDoOnly(3) - connect to only EV-DO service oneXRttOnly(4) - connect to only 1xRTT service

What is c3gCdmaHybridModePreference?

This read-write enumeration configures whether the modem should connect using hybrid(2) EV-DO/1xRTT service, evDoOnly(3), or oneXRttOnly(4) exclusively. An admin adjusts this to control which CDMA radio technologies the modem is allowed to use, for example forcing evDoOnly(3) to guarantee higher-speed data service where 1xRTT fallback would be undesirable, or oneXRttOnly(4) in areas lacking EV-DO coverage. For example, in a region with unreliable EV-DO coverage that causes frequent technology flapping, an admin might set this to oneXRttOnly(4) to force a stable, if slower, connection.
